Just in case you haven't been made aware...
I will no longer be a part of of the Pierre softball scene. Effective 31 December 2008 I will no longer live in Pierre. I am moving back to Texas.

I've enjoyed playing ball with, for and against all of you over the years. It's been a great pleasure to meet you all.

Don't worry, Team Krueger will still be around and I'm hoping they will be the team to beat. I'm also hoping they defend that city championship for many years to come! Same holds true for Fine Line Auto.

For those of you that saw fit to 'straight ball' me on the mound EAT MY SHORTS!!    ...kidding. I'm still here so it couldn't have been too bad. I hope I put you out!! :)

Anyway...thanks!! If you're ever in Houston look me up... I'm sure there are only a couple short fat meskins on the ball fields down there.

hutch's will gladly accept the invitation next summer,,,,but the 2nd annual "BORDER BATTLE" must be played in presho for us to play.

The First Annual Dakota Cup tourney will be taking place this weekend.
A group of 4 teams from South Dakota will play a group of 4 teams from North Dakota in a round robin softball tournament.

Teams are chosen by the tournament directors based on their performance in key tournaments during the season and their general success throughout the season. For all the details visit the new Dakota Cup site.

The results will be posted on that site as soon as possible. Hopefully this can become an annual event that teams will strive to participate in down the road.

we have the option to purchase a dozen of the new DeMarini ball "Orbit"
for about $50 the league can buy a dozena and test these out.

Its gonna happen, this will be the ball SDASA uses next year for state.
To me, we just as well give it a whirl ..

Anybody out there interested in kicking these new balls around ??

I remember the gold dots being good no cover issues and held up well. I think the only reason we quit using them was worth didn't have the optic yellow cover available at the time.
